Megan Tyler Pinckney is a Charleston, South Carolina native. She was born on June 11, 1991 and is the daughter of Sabrina Pinckney. 

Megan is a 2009 graduate of Fort Dorchester High School where she was extremely involved. She served as the President of the Students Against Destructive Decisions club, as well as a member of Link Crew and Student Council. She was apart of the FDHS Dance Company and was a Varsity Football Cheerleader. Her senior year she was chosen to hold the title of Homecoming Queen by her school’s student body and administration.

Megan currently attends the University of South Carolina in Columbia where she majors in print journalism and plans to minor in fashion merchandising. Dance is a huge part of her life and she has spent years taking classes and competing. She is a member of the University of South Carolina’s “Carolina Girls” dance team! In her free time she enjoys reading Vogue magazine, watching musicals, volunteering, and taking lots of pictures with her best friends and family.

As Miss South Carolina Teen USA 2010, Megan looks forward to getting the opportunity to volunteer and make a difference in the lives of young girls statewide.
